Of course, you do not have to wait till Valentine’s Day to make someone feel special. This feeling is just too good to have only one day a year. But speaking of the most romantic day of the year, if you are in a quandary about what to do to make your sweetheart fall in love with you all over again (or maybe for the first time), we can lend you a few great ideas to play with.
But before we begin, know this – there is no “Valentine’s Formula“. The trick is to know what your partner likes – no, we do not mean materialistic things, the other thing.. you know, the little things that touches her soul and makes her lips quiver.
Now think really hard.. What could you do that would make your darling feel like the most special girl in the whole wide world? Can you think of a gift or an action that would make her run straight into your arms? Please don’t think on terms of the amount you would be spend. If there is anything that makes a woman tick, are small little gestures that leave an impression. One rose of the reddest color would be more than all the tea in China for your beloved. One sunset walk on the beach or anywhere, where all your attention would be fixed on your darling can touch her in ways you can’t even imagine. For the married couples – serve your wife breakfast in bed and give her a day off from regular chores.
Just saying ‘I Love You’ isn’t enough. Do you know what makes your partner feel warm and fuzzy? It might be just your presence, undivided attention or maybe a simple gift. The gift doesn’t have to be expensive or anything, your partner will just be moved with and touched with the effort and thought that you have actually put to choose and buy a gift which can be as simple as a box of chocolates or as grand as a ring with your names engraved. But, don’t just hand the gift like you would pass butter at a dinner table. To bring tears of joy, think of unique and intimate ways to present the gift.
Want some ideas? Sure you do! So here..
Suppose you choose to give something as traditional as flowers and chocolates. It’s a great gift. What you can do with it is instead of handing the bouquet to your darling just like that, make a trail of rose petals that leads to the bedroom – which BTW you can light up beautifully with scented candles and yeah the petals – and place a lovely hand-painted card on the bed next to the box of chocolates where you could write ten things that you love and appreciate about her. She is sure to talk about that evening years down the line!
Want to take her out on a date? But isn’t fine dining something you guys almost go for every week? Here is a crazy idea.. Chuck the fancy restaurant. Got a car? If not, take it from a friend! – And get someone to drive (very important). You could give your sweetheart a dress code maybe to pique her interest and yes, don’t forget to dress nice yourself. Get maybe a bottle of wine, chocolates or something that she really enjoys to munch on and take a tour of the city. The roads must be empty at night and the sky should be clear and beautiful on February! Take this opportunity to pour your heart out. End the night with a prolonged goodnight kiss! – the rest you can handle (wink).
GIRLS, men need valentines too. So if you are reading this and smiling to yourself thinking how you are going to be pampered this Valentine’s Day, make some effort on your part as well to give them demonstrations or some signs to show them how important a part they are of your lives. You could also buy a gift or plan a date. Be creative!
No partner? Treat everybody around you kindly – be it hanging out with your closest buddies, celebrating the varied nuances of love with your family or visiting an orphanage maybe with balloons, chocolates and flowers – and use V-Day as an excuse to make this world a better, happier place.
